What Does the Selling Process Look Like?

Start by contacting a FCBB Professional to schedule a free consultation. We'll let you know of any information or documents we’ll need, and ask you some questions to learn more about your business. Through this consultation we can determine a selling price for your business by using our proven valuation methods to provide an opinion of value. We will then create the approach to generate buyer interest.

The next step is the listing agreement with FCBB, so that we can represent you in the sales process. We'll discuss various advertising/marketing options as well as what potential terms you may want to offer a buyer, if any. You will have the opportunity to give the final approval on the asking price and terms offered.

From here, we will handle buyer inquiries and the pre-qualification process while you stay focused on running your business. Your broker will help to arrange meetings with potential buyers who have signed confidentiality agreements regarding your business. Prior to buy/sell meetings, we will help prepare you for any questions or concerns that might arise during the meetings.

Finally, we will present you offers and help mediate negotiations between you and the potential buyer.
